Product Description
Produced by Shandong Jinlisheng New Materials, the Hot-Dipped Aluminum-Zinc Steel Sheet is a high-performance material for building walls and ventilation ducts. It uses cold-rolled steel as the base, with a hot-dipped aluminum-zinc-silicon coating (AZ30-AZ80) and post-chromating treatment.
For building walls: It has excellent corrosion resistance to resist atmospheric moisture and rain, with a smooth surface (regular/minimal/zero spangle options) that fits wall aesthetics. Its thickness (0.12-1.5mm) balances strength and light weight (10-14kg/㎡), reducing wall load and shortening construction time by over 40%.
For ventilation ducts: The aluminum-zinc coating (30-120g/m²) resists condensation corrosion inside ducts. It’s easy to cut, bend and weld, adapting to duct shape needs. Compliant with GB/T2518 standards, it ensures long-term stable operation in HVAC systems.

FAQ
Q1: How does Galvalume compare to galvanized in corrosion resistance?
A: Galvalume provides 2-4x longer life than galvanized steel in most environments. The advantage is greatest in marine and industrial atmospheres where aluminum's barrier protection excels. In mild rural environments, advantage is approximately 2x.
Q2: Can Galvalume be painted or color coated?
A: Yes, Galvalume accepts paint systems well. Special pretreatment is recommended for optimal adhesion. Many manufacturers offer pre-painted Galvalume (PPGL) with 15-25 year warranties. The smooth surface provides excellent paint appearance.
Q3: Is Galvalume suitable for high-temperature applications?
A: Yes, Galvalume withstands continuous temperatures up to 315°C without significant degradation. This makes it ideal for ventilation ducts, exhaust systems, and industrial applications where galvanized coating would deteriorate.
Q4: What is the difference between AZ50, AZ100, AZ150?
A: These numbers indicate total coating weight in g/m² (both sides). AZ50 = 50g/m², AZ100 = 100g/m², AZ150 = 150g/m². AZ150 is standard for roofing and exterior applications, providing optimal balance of protection and cost.
Q5: Does Galvalume cost more than galvanized?
A: Galvalume typically costs 10-15% more than equivalent galvanized steel. However, the extended service life (2-4x) provides significantly lower lifecycle cost. For long-term applications, Galvalume is more economical despite higher initial cost.

DX51D Galvanized steel is a type of steel that has been treated with zinc to enhance its corrosion resistance.
